Téma: Versengő társas identitásaink

Leírás: A társas identitás az éntudatunk csoporttagságból származó része (Tajfel, 1972). Egyszerre több csoporthoz is tartozunk, sőt az is előfordulhat, hogy ezek konfliktusban állnak egymással. Vezérfonálként bemutatok néhány kérdéskört, melyek a társas identitás elméletén belül vizsgálhatók:

Hogyan egyeztethetők össze az egymással konfliktusban álló társas identitásaink? Egy csoporttal való azonosulás vajon csak egy külső csoporthoz viszonyítva (esetleg azzal versengve) definiálható, vagy származhat „belső”, csoporton belüli folyamatokból? Mi magyarázza azt a jelenséget, hogy elnyomott kisebbségi csoportok tagjai magasztalják az őket elnyomó rendszert? Mik lehetnek az előnyei és hátrányai annak, ha kisebbségünk helyett egy szélesebb kategóriával (pl. nemzettel) azonosulunk? A lenézett/ stigmatizált csoportok tagjai hogyan őrizhetik meg pszichológiai jóllétüket a negatív identitás ellenére? Lehetséges-e az egész emberiséggel egyszerre azonosulni?

Ezen kívül természetesen bármilyen egyéni kutatási ötletet is támogatok a téma keretein belül.
